Student Council

Four Masters School.

Our Student Council was established in 2016.  The aim of our Student Council is to give all students a voice as well as an opportunity to participate in school affairs. It provides our students with a forum to discuss the needs and concerns of everyone in our school. The Council have the potential  to help bring about positive changes both in our school and local community. Collaboration is an important part of being on the Student Council.

It comprises of pupils from 3rd-6th class who are democratically elected by their peers. They meet several times a month and collect suggestions and ideas from each class prior to all meetings. These ideas are discussed, prioritised and brought to the attention of the school staff.

Currently there are eight members on the Council.  Each member has a role to fulfil.

The roles are as follows

  • Chairperson and vice Chairperson who help lead the meetings.
  • Secretary and assistant secretary who record what is been discussed .
  • Treasurer and assistant treasurer who keep the purse strings in order!
  • Two Public Relations Officers who convey ideas and activities to the school and local community.

The Student Council communicates with the school community through email, intercom system, Student Council notice board and assemblies.

Over the years, the Student Council have been extremely successful in organising fundraisers for many local and national charities such as North West Hospice, Alzheimer’s Society and Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
