I would also like to give special thanks to the children who participated in the liturgy and choir and Ms. Daly who co-ordinated the whole event. The special efforts were very much appreciated by Mrs. Gaffney and her family.

Ukrainian Families

We extend a very warm Kinlough welcome to our new Ukrainian families and pupils who have joined our school this year. We wish them the very best during their time in Ireland and in our school.

Football

Thank you to Mr. Britton and Mr. Gallagher who are doing great work at the football. They ran a school competition for the Fr. Keogan and Master Connolly Cups last week and great fun was had by all. Congratulations to Donegal and Dublin who were the winners on the day!

Swimming

Swimming is back up and running with Sixth class having lessons at the moment and Fifth class to start in November. Updates and information will follow through the year as other classes start their block of lessons.

Music Generation

Music Generation is up and running and is a great success with all children participating and very much enjoying. Today our tutors, Niko and Christina, are performing a concert in the Halla for the different classes and allowing children to interact with different instruments and musical experiences.

These meetings will take place on Tuesday 15th and Thursday 17th November. School will close at 2pm on these days and the meetings will run from 2.20-5pm. You will receive a note with your dates and times in the week after the break. Many thanks.

I am hoping to arrange an informative talk for parents on Internet Safety and the possible dangers posed by Internet and Social Media etc. I will be back in touch in relation to this.

Congratulations to the following pupils who were democratically elected

by their peers on to the Student Council for 2022/2023.

Paddy Fergus and Grace Fergus (6th Class)

Frank Regan and Lauren Dolan (5th Class)

Rachel Murphy and Jack Mc Gurrin (4th Class)

Catherine Rynne and Tony Brennan (3rd Class)

They are all honoured and very enthusiastic to be representing their peers and working with all the staff in masking the Four Masters School a happy, vibrant place with lots of productivity, fun and learning!!

Watch this space for many new initiatives, fundraisers and events in the

year ahead.

The Student Council would like to say a big Thank You to all the children and parents who created amazing pumpkin masterpieces. We were in awe of all the work and creativity put into these. There were over 180 pumpkins brought into our scary hallway. It was lovely to see parents and grandparents join us yesterday to view them. Thank you to Elliot Brennan and Manus Finnegan who put together a fantastic film showcasing all the pumpkins. Please take a few minutes to watch and enjoy and see if you can spot your own one! Well done all!

We also had a fantastic day organising and helping the children from Junior Infants up to 2nd class take part in our scavenger hunt.  There was lots of fun and excitement to be seen around the school yard.

A big Thank You to everyone who got into the spirit of Hallowe’en and dressed up. The school yard was a mass of all sorts of funny and scary characters.-Zombies, witches, unicorns and minions were popping up all around the school. Well done everyone! A total of €359.60 was raised for Temple Street and Crumlin Hospitals. There are lots more exciting events to come! Thank you for your support.

Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí.
