Green Flag
We achieved our fifth green flag on the theme of Biodiversity.  After much work on obtaining the flag, two members of the Green School Committee, Annabelle Moore and Emma Gilmartin, Bernadette our secretary and Ms. O‚ÄôReilly, green-school co-ordinator collected the flag on the 16th of May in the Mc William Park Hotel in Claremorris.  An enjoyable and informative ceremony it was, schools from Sligo, Leitrim and Mayo collected green flags on behalf of their school on their relevant theme.  It is truly a huge achievement to have a fifth green flag for our school.

W.O.W. Day in Four Masters National School
The Four Masters National School in Kinlough had their W.O.W.  Walk on Wednesday Day on 20th April 2016.   It was a huge success with all pupils walking, parking and striding and coming by bus to school.  The idea behing the day is to encourage young people to walk and exercise as often as they can.  The school will continue to monitor the numbers walking to school, parking and striding to school and travelling by bus every Wednesday.  These are all healthy ways to travel to school.  Many thanks to everyone involved.
